Today, I've had a go at making some more bottles for the Apothecary, in Diagon Alley, I need a few more bottles to fill the shelves.
I wasn't feeling very well yesterday and took on the appearance of the Pillsbury Dough Man again. Although I feel much better today. We think my Consultant is still stuck abroad, so still waiting for the follow up appointment to come.
My hands are quite swollen at the moment and my fingers look like Pork Sausages. So I was really pleased with how my Bat Bottle has turned out. The Bat is made from Fimo. It needs a bit of refining, but I'm chuffed. I have been getting Mick to mix the clay for me as I haven't got the strength to do it myself yet. Ben has just come in and he really likes it. Well for a Teen to like anything it must be alright. LOL
The Teeny, Tiny Bottle right at the front is 1:24th Scale. If you click on the pictures they will pop up bigger. I used to make loads of stuff in this scale, but I must make sure I put my glasses on next time..

That bat bottle is great and I like the twisted neck one as well. The teeny tiny one is okay but I do not like the smaller scales. Maybe one day when my miniatures overwhelm my house - then maybe I might have to resort to smaller scales but by then I wont be able to see them anyway. LOL
It's fantastic and the fine detailing is fab!! I love how you have made it look like aged copper etc
I hope you get to see your Consultant soon!

Wow you made that bat Debbie, I thought it was a charm or something you used, clever you! Im on my daughters laptop, been hit on the main pc by major viruses and a computer scam at the weekend so trying to mend the problem, so if Im not around much its cos I cant get online!! Keep well, hope your consultant manages to fly in and sort you soon! Love Kate xx
Nice work :) Your bat bottle came out way cool!
Did you sculpt and bake the bat first then attach it to the bottle? Or did you sculpt the whole shebang in one go?
Wow -- those all look great. The detail on the bat is incredible :)
I hope Northern European airspace opens up soon (sounds as if it will -- I bet there's a lot of pressure being brought to bear) and your consultant can help you soon.
Debbie, that bat bottle is incrdible! You did a great job. Love the rest as well. Now just think what you will be able to do when they fix your fingers! Amazing. I hope that the appointment comes soon!
They are all fab Debbie! The bat is so cool! Hope your consultant comes home quickly!
Doreen I do like both scales. But prefer making in 1:12th, better for the eyes..LOL xxx
Michelle I'm glad you like it. I used an antiquing medium to get the colour.
Oh Kate that's bad news hope you get it all sorted out and get rid of the Virus.
Brian I did the Bat in one go I was worried about squashing him..
I really like the bat bottle, the detail and the color!
Your scene is going to be great and I imagine you're having fun making it and thinking about it. :)
I hope you're feeling better.

I really hope they can get this sorted quickly Debbie xxx
The bottle is really great!!
The bat bottle is wonderful, well done!Carol:)
FabUlous, Debbie!!! You are so talented, even with swollen fingers!!!
xxo
wonderful batbottle you have made. I do prefer the 1:12th scale. The other one is way to small for me. But believe me I admire the artist who are able to create at such a small scale.
I love the bat. I hope you get sorted soon. This ash attack has affected so many people I know. A dear friend was supposed to start chemo this week but his consultant is stranded in the US.
Regards,
Janice
Fabulous bat bottle, Debbie!
Love the bat bottle!
I can't even go to those smaller scales, I need glasses for one inch scale.
I do hope you get your appointment soon....
The bat bottle looks great! I really like the coloring on them all.
I hope your consultant gets back soon.
Sending "feel better" wishes your way.
Sorry you're having trouble and being swollen again. The bottle is gorgeous though :)
These are so lovely! Really Debbie, you have all my admiration doing things like this when you're feeling so poorly.
Wonderful, Debbie! I love the bat. I hope you are feeling better!
