Digging...

Sorry no miniatures to show you. But we have got Mick's parents here for the week and have been working outside all day.
We hired a Digger to do some ground work. The bottom two photo's is the ground being flattened next to the Barns. The next photograph is where we have pulled out some tree roots and re levelled the ground. The next photograph up is the foundations for a large shed.
The picture down the side of the Barn was filled with compost which has now been dug out and moved into the bottom field out of the way. And last is the other two muck heaps that are always being moved down to the bottom field.
I will eventually use most of this home made compost on the garden, when I eventually get round to redesigning it...

In other news there has been a very large Earthquake in Italy, just hoping our dear friend Rosanna and her family are safe. I have emailed her, but haven't received a reply as yet. Keeping everything crossed that they are all safe and well..

**** UPDATE***** Rosanna and her family are safe and well......

Hi Debbie. Glad Rosanna and her family are safe.
Trust jodi to admire the soil...lol.
I too quite like soil and love to garden, although my garden is the size of a stamp so not much to do.
Look forward to seeing the end results with all the digging. Mind you, it looks like back breaking work and so not at all envious of all the work.
Hope you're having fun.

There is a lot of potential for beautiful gardens around your home. I hope you find some time to redesign and enjoy it soon.

So happy to know Rosanna is ok. I've just commented on her recent blog entry.

Hi Debbie, wow, you are one very busy woman!!! I'm going to call you Wonder Woman! You have so much energy . . . send some my way. I have to say, I'm not much into gardening, but I do enjoy the fruits of labor from others! Our neighbors bring us tomatoes, zucchini and other things they grow :) Hugs, Marsha
