Tempus Fugit...

As they say Tempus Fugit.. (Time Flies)..

Thank you for all the Birthday Wishes for Harry. Mick took this photograph of his cake. Harry had a lovely day at the riding school and then his best friend Conner came over late afternoon for tea and they spent the evening on the X-Box Live and watching DVD's..

Harry's Riding School are having another open day this Saturday for Halloween. I'm gutted that I couldn't help out this time. I'd have loved to have dressed up as a Witch.. Oh well, hopefully I will be able to participate next year.

My Super Douper Antibiotic's, seem to have cleared up the infection in my leg. But I've still got swelling on the bottom of the leg, ankle and foot. The boys have been saying that I have a Cankle. Don't you just love em...Horror Pots..

Yesterday, I had an appointment at the Doctor's for blood tests. Now I have to say at this point, I have a total aversion to Hypodermics, especially when they are coming in my direction. By the time I got into the Nurse's office, I'd already broken out in a cold sweat and my hands were disgustingly clammy. The Nurse was brilliant and managed to get my blood at the first attempt, although I cut of the blood supply in Mick's hand as I was squeezing it so much.. When I finally looked there was 4 vials of blood ready to be sent off for testing. Well done that Nurse.
Tomorrow, I have an appointment at the Hospital with the Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse and the Physiotherapist. I've been told to expect the appointment to last over an hour, as they will see what my heart and I are capable of...

Which brings me to the Garage, the Caravan and the Barn.
After having the scare that we did. I spoke to Mick about having a major sort out of my miniatures. It worried me to think, that if anything had happened to me, Mick and the boys would have been left to sort this lot out. So as soon as I am able, I am making it a priority. Its a massive job, but I've got to get it done. As you can see every nook and cranny is filled. The miniatures that I have made and collected, which I no longer need or love will be sold. Shame there are no miniature fairs in Wales. I will then be able to concentrate on the new ideas, that are in my notebooks.

Debbie, glad to hear your leg is doing better. But I hear you on the needles!!! The blood work guy now recognizes me and rolls his eyes when I come into the office. I am a big baby when it comes to needles!! I know it doesn't look like fun to you but a storage room full of minis looks like heaven to me! Take it easy!! Hugs - ara

Yum, that cake looks delicious!!!!

I'm so happy to hear you're on the mend, Debbie, that's wonderful!!!

I'm with you, hate getting my blood drawn which I was supposed to yesterday . . . I'm definitely not going today, so I'll go tomorrow! Last time they drew blood you would have thought that I had been in a fight, my arm was so bruised!

Now don't OVERDO!!! Take your time going through all those wonderful hidden treasures you have stored away!!!! How exciting it will be to go through everything, it'll be like shopping!!!

Big hug,
Marsha

Glad to hear your leg is getting better and the antibiotics are working. The nurse in me will resist the opportunity to lecture you on ankle swelling!

Your garage looks worse than mine, full to the brim! You mentioned a sort out and dolls house fairs in Wales. There are 2 fairs in Wales, both are held twice a year. They are at Crickhowell in Powys and Newport. The Newport fair is easier, as it is just off an M4 junction. The next fairs will be in the first few months of 2010, we are hoping to be having a table at them. If you want their exact contact details, drop me an email and I will get dates and more details for you.
Take care, Julia xx
PS. Walk around a little every hour to keep the fluids moving and keep your ankles elevated when your sitting down. Sorry, couldn't resist!

Debbie- I hope you continue to heal well. What a shame that we could not all transport to your garage to help you sort out- what a fun time that sounds like!

Dear Debbie, I'm very happy for your leg, really lovely news.Do not worry about needles, most people I know fear them and I know a couple of big men who faint ( literally) when in sight of a blood stain. Please do not overwork in your garage, if you have to sort everythingout go step by step. And PLEASE, let us know what you are going to discard and sell. Pleae, please, please. Big hugs to you all Rosanna

Your garage looks like a it will be an interesting job to sort out, take it slowly, though I can understand the desire to get stuck in after your enforced period of R&R. I'm sure your boys will help shift things (no heavy lifting for you).
I'm glad you are definitely on the mend now, despite the needles and that your son enjoyed his birthday.
Best wishes

hahaha.....cankles! I thought MY son made that up! Walk around a bit every hour or so and keep those legs elevated when your down. I think I can get a flight out late tomorrow to participate in the Great Garage Clean Up. :-) The very idea of tackling a project like that leaves me positively tingling...as long as it is someone elses. :-) Seriously, I understand the need to down-size. I told my husband that if anything happened to me, he was to call my sister-in-law who is also a mini nut and the only one who would know and understand the valuation of all my things. But it is time I let go of some of them .....sigh...

PS...the looks really good. Love chocolate with lots of icing!
