Miniature Books
I've been making some miniature books, over the last week. I'm really pleased, with how they are turning out. The Beige Leather is a tester, I've made a few mistakes with this one. But, its all a learning curve and I'll do it differently next time.
The top photograph of the beige leather book, is actually the book in the bottom photograph. Wonderful what some ink can do. It measures 3cm x 2.5cm. The Hinges, were cut from Black card, then painted and then antiqued, to look like old Brass. I hand cut, a recess into the middle of this book and lined it. Not the best of photographs, the lining, looks bright Pink, but its not. It will hold a secret of some kind, but not sure what yet. The Edges of the pages were gilded, be give them an old fashioned look.
I'm working on another book at the moment, which I'll show you once its finished.
These pictures were taken on my phone, so my not be as crisp, as my photographs taken on my Camera.

Honeydukes Sweet Shop ~ Update
I've just been looking through the photographs on here, of my Honeydukes Sweet Shop and realized that I haven't shown any of the updated photographs. I thought I'd put them on here, but I'd only put them in my albums on Facebook.
Honeydukes, is still an ongoing project. There is still quite a lot to do in there. But it's coming along nicely. I've been hunting down, my Sludge Fudge for months, my name for it and actually found it in my crate of Fimo, the other day. That still needs to be displayed and another counter need to be painted and put together.
I've also brought a length of moulding to go around the top of the box, to make a shelf. Which I'll also use to display stuff on...

Little Monster...
Been meaning to show you some of my new acquisitions, since Christmas!
Bad, bad blogger that I am.
I've always admired Alicia Singleton's lovely little Alliebean Doll's, especially her little Monsters. I was captivated the first time, I saw one picking its nose, I know its gross, but so, so cute, but I've never been lucky enough to get one. I've always been too late. Just before Christmas, I happened to see Alicia's post, on her facebook, about some little Reindeer's, that she would be putting in her Etsy Shop. I hightailed it over there pretty sharpish and was lucky enough to secure one of the five that Alicia, was making.
Alicia, contacted me and asked what I wanted my little Reindeer to look like. I asked for his tongue to be sticking out. Then I saw that Alicia, had also put a little Monkey in her Ebay shop, so I popped over to have a look, and low and behold, there in her Ebay listings, was a little Monster, on a buy it now. Well I didn't need to think about it twice and brought him. Mick gave me the money for the purchases, for Christmas (Reindeer) and my Birthday (Monster). Alicia, put them both in the same package. I am absolutely delighted with them. They are currently sitting together in my Glass cabinet, so that I can admire them, but I do have an idea for the little Monster.
I also fell in love, with the beautifully painted Polka Dot bowls, by Nikki. I do love Polka Dots. Nikki, also had some lovely Toadstool Cake stands, so treated myself to one of those as well. I also had some wonderful miniature gifts, from Nikki for Christmas. I'll show you them later.
Just to let you all know that Nikki, has recently opened a shop over on Folksy. Its very similar to Etsy, but is UK based.

Thank You..
Just to let you all know, that I have removed the link, from my post below. I had a telephone call, from Ben earlier and he has nearly reached his quota on his survey.
He would like to say thank you to all that shared his link and taken part in his survey so far.
Ben Needs Your Help....
As you all know my Son Ben, is a third year Psychology Student at University. He is conducting a study on Gaming behaviour, for his dissertation. The survey takes all of 5 minutes to complete and the only requirement is that you regularly play some kind of video game, even if its only facebook games and that you are based in the United Kingdom.
Ben is putting up a prize of a £20 Amazon Voucher, for one lucky participant.
He only need a total of 300 participants so that's pretty good odds of winning £20 for only 5 minutes of your time. The survey closes 20th February 2013, so get in there quick. Please note you need to submit at the end of the survey, to be entered into the draw.
Thank You...
