Apparently a group of Ladies have spent years knitting their whole village in Miniature.
We all been to the Dentist this afternoon for our six monthly check up and then quickly did some food shopping. Not long been back indoors. I can't believe the change in the weather, yesterday it was blazing hot, then last night we watched a storm rolling in over the hills, there was loads of lightening but no rain where we are. Today its really warm but has been raining on and off all day. Weird...

Really sweet all the ladies sewing their village.
But, can you imagine if somebody built an extension mid knit. Would have caused a lot of panic... lol!
They have to be admired though and it's the batty kind of thing i'd find myself doing.

I've seen a book advertised that gives direction on making a garden vignette complete with partial house walls (with windows) and fountain all done with natural wools.
Creating minis with fiber techniques is simply amazing to watch! :-)
Just imagine the fun they had working together on this. It would be great.
What a great way to raise money! And a wonderful thing to be working on something like this for so long together.
Thanks for the link! I have passed it on to the Dutch miniaturists on my Dutch blog. There is one Dutch miniaturist (Nella) who knits fantastic little dolls who I bet would look right at home there!
