Honeydukes Sweet Shop ~ Update

I've just been looking through the photographs on here, of my Honeydukes Sweet Shop and realized that I haven't shown any of the updated photographs. I thought I'd put them on here, but I'd only put them in my albums on Facebook.
Honeydukes, is still an ongoing project. There is still quite a lot to do in there. But it's coming along nicely.  I've been hunting down, my Sludge Fudge for months, my name for it and actually found it in my crate of Fimo, the other day. That still needs to be displayed and another counter need to be painted and put together.
I've also brought a length of moulding to go around the top of the box, to make a shelf. Which I'll also use to display stuff on...
These pictures show how it is at the moment...

Gifts From Tabitha & Susanna

First off I must apologise for not posting the gift from Tabitha over at Tabitha Corsica sooner.
I did email Tabitha as soon as I received it but forgot to post it on my blog.
Tabitha very kindly sent me some Chenille and some tiny little Skull beads. Tabitha made a brilliant Candelabra on her blog with these beads. Go over and take a peek.
This morning I received another little parcel from Susanna over at Elamaa Koossa 1:12. It was so beautifully wrapped, inside the envelope was three little parcels. Inside the parcels Susanna had made me a lovely little display of Toadstools with the tiniest Snail, that has already taken up residence in Diagon Alley. There was also some Snake Skins, Sweets and Lollipops for "Honeydukes" and some really cool shaped Lichen.
Thank you both so much Ladies and as soon as I'm back making Miniatures, I'll be popping something in the post for you both..x

Katie's Parcel....

As promised here's all the wonderful gifts that I received from Katie over at Katie's Clay Corner.
The parcel was jammed packed with all manner of wonderful creations.
First off was a little Pony Bag, how sweet is that, which contained 3 lovely pots. These are going into Diagon Alley.
Next was a green bag filled with loads of big Candy lollies that are unwrapped, then another lot of Lollies wrapped in Cellophane. These are going into "Honeydukes".
Then there was a little Goat bag and inside that lots of Toadstools, which are going in the Apothecary.

Then I opened the cardboard box and inside Katie had made me a framed picture of a Pony. It reminds me of Vikey when he talks to me. No I'm not mad Vikey does talk back when I talk to him.

Then another little bag and tucked inside wrapped in tissue were two little rats, how cute are they. They will be going into Diagon Alley.
Then I opened the blue box and inside I found 20 packets of rock (candy canes). These are all going into "Honeydukes".
Katie I am totally overwhelmed with your kindness. I love everything and its all the more special as you've made it for me. As soon as I can get it all displayed in their new homes I'll take some photo's. xxxx
I've made some wonderful friends through my blog. Aren't Miniaturists wonderful people..x

I had a very busy day yesterday, and it was only this morning that I thought, I didn't check the post box yesterday.
Well what a wonderful surprise I got when I did.
Nestled in the box was a package from Tara over at The Dollshouse At Pooh Corner.
Tara has sent me the most wonderful packages for "Honeydukes". There's four different boxes, Ice Mice, Black Pepper Imps, Bertie Botts every flavour Beans and Chocolate Frogs. Tara had also included a packet of the tiniest little Jelly Beans. I can't wait to get them into "Honeydukes" and I'll take some pictures when I do..

Tara I'm thrilled to bits with them all, Thank you so much. I really appreciate your kindness and I apologise for not sending your parcel yet. (Tara's waiting on the toast I made her)..

I'd also like to apologise to everyone else that's waiting on my parcel's. I haven't been out of the house, for over a week, well only to go food shopping and I haven't been working on my miniatures. I've Been A Busy Bee...

Today, I was determined to get some miniatures under way. Well, you know the score, we all start off with good intentions. Its like looking for, the proverbial needle, in a haystack here. The trouble being that all my Stash is scattered all over the place. (Mick, says I have too much, that's why I can't find anything). How can you have too much stash???. I've been looking for all my miniature material, started off in the Caravan, no not there, had a poke around out in the Garage (never, ever, wear white, when entering a garage covered with crap and cobwebs). Then tried in the boot room, and yes, I managed to find a couple of bags of antique lace, ribbons and my bow maker. (Do you like my bow maker, it's just a bit of wood, with two nails hammered through it).But still couldn't find the box filled with all my wonderful silks and cottons. Grrrrrr, I think its in one of the boxes in the top of the barn. Well there was no way, I was rooting round up there today. So brought the other bags, back indoors and managed to find in the chaos, nothing is folded, just shoved in for good measure, well you can get more in the bag that way,one piece of Gold coloured Silk. So I've made a miniature dress and a pair of silk slippers, (ignore the brown paper shoved in them, it's keeping them in shape as they dry) for a dressed trunk that I want to do. Please don't ask for a pattern, cause I don't have one, as I make them by eye, so that everyone is different. I've also made another couple of pairs of slippers, well our little inhabitant's get cold feet to. I also filled up a couple of jar's with the Liquorice Allsorts, for "Honeydukes". I've also made a couple of other things, but I can't show them as they are gifts for some miniature friends, who read my blog and I want it to be a surprise. All I'll say is someone's involves the colour pink...And it's not your's Marsha. Have I told you before Marsha loves Pink...
