Where Did Those Good Intentions Go?...

Well I had every intention of starting on my Minis today, but like all good intentions it hasn't happened. First off Ben is due home today, I got a text earlier saying that he's flight has been delayed, due to a technical fault, now he's approx departure time is 4.20pm, he should have been home indoors by then. He's flying into Bristol as Cardiff don't do the internal flights from Inverness! Rang Mick to let him know, so he's sitting in a Cafe, in Bristol having a coffee. Then I get a text from Mick saying its Snowing...! So god knows what time they are going to be back tonight. Ben's due back at school tomorrow..
Secondly, I went down the Stables this morning and everything is frozen again, sorted that out, feed all the Ponies and mucked out. Came back got a load of washing on, you can see the time is ticking away. I've finally just been out to the Van to get my boxes of Fimo and let me tell you they feel frozen... I also stuck my head in the garage to have a rummage and found a Greenleaf Village Kit, that I had completely forgotten was in there. Mind you the state of the Garage, it's a wonder you can find anything... It's totally full with Dolls House's and Miniatures. Even the Cupboard's the House's are standing on are full. And see the line of Boxes down the middle, their full up as well. That's another job for the Spring/Summer, sorting that lot out. Mind you said that last year! These are old pictures of what it looks like in there, it's much worse now! That's without all the Miniatures stored in the Barn!

Satan & Smudge

Mick has just taken these photo's of Satan & Smudge. Satan is Angel's brother, Smudge is the Tortoise shell. Smudge is normally a bit anti-social. I couldn't believe that she was cuddling Satan. I wonder if they realise what's happened to Angel.
They didn't move a muscle as Mick took the photo's.. Bless em..

Honeydukes...

For the last couple of day's "Honeydukes", has been calling me... It's been sitting on the window sill in the lounge over the Festive season.
Now that we are back to normal, (if this house is ever normal), I want to get it finished. So tomorrow, I'll get the work table back out and my Fimo and try and get some more bits done. Looks like I'm going to have to order some more Sweetie Jars, look at all those empty shelves. Took these photo's just now to remind everyone what I'm working on...

Wanted to share this picture of Jasper taken Christmas Day. He'd just eaten his Christmas Dinner. All the dogs have a Christmas Dinner of Turkey and vegetables, gravy and biscuits.

Angel....

Last night we did an emergency dash back to the vets, as Angel our poorly cat, started being sick again and was having problems trying to wee. Her kidneys have only been working at 30% and she had a bad heart. After talking to the vet and getting their advice we decided that it would be kinder to put her to sleep. So our little Angel is now a real Angel, run free over Rainbow Bridge...

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown...

Cold Day... Minus 7..

Its minus 7 here today.. Brrrr. (can you hear my teeth chattering). All our outside taps are frozen solid, so we've had to put the hose pipe in boiling water in the sink to defrost it as we need to get water to all the animals..
Took Angel our poorly pussy cat to the vets this morning, she's gained some weight, but will have to continue on her special diet, and tablets for her heart forever. She won't be able to go out now and will be a house cat. The vet said that her condition may be congenital as she's always been very tiny. She's quite happy indoors, getting lots of cuddles and being thoroughly spoilt.
Mick's parent's also left this morning to go back to London, they been with us since Boxing day. Hopefully, there won't be too much traffic on the roads and they will get back in good time.
Meant to say that Mick's thumb is healing nicely, he went to the Doctor's on New Years Eve to have it checked and redressed. These pictures were taken after it had been soaking in water, before it was redressed.
I've taken all the Christmas Decorations down and they are now packed away. So I can now get all my miniature bits out again and hopefully finish Honeydukes..
