Ben's Results

Ben & Harry have just got in from school & Ben was given his results for the GCSE's he took this year in science. Ben has gone into year 11 this term and will take all the other GCSE's next year including another 2 lots for Science, he's one of the eldest in his year.
He got A* Star in Physics, B in Chemistry & a C in Biology.
We are so proud and delighted for him, just had to rush in and put it on my blog... Well Done Ben Love You Loads... Keep up the good work....

New Term/New School

While the boy's were at school today, Mick & I spent ages emptying the utility room cupboards, cleaning everything and reloading the new units in the kitchen. Will have to show the boys where everything's been moved to, otherwise their be looking for their cereal in the morning! Hopefully we can start taking the units in the utility out tomorrow now that their clear. Good knows what we will find behind them, if the rest of the house is anything to go by, it will be a disaster. Be glad when the bloody house is finished... I'll try & remember to take some pictures tomorrow of how its coming along.
Well the boys are home and they've not done much at school today, other then get their new timetables. Harry seems to have enjoyed his first day at his new school, so that's a relief. I wanted to take a picture of him this morning in his new school uniform, but he wasn't having any of it. He's currently sitting downstairs filling in his contact book & copying down his timetable.
At least I now have a full list of their holidays.

Ben's really got to knuckle down now to get ready for his GCSE's. He hasn't got the result for his GCSE that he took this year. Will properly find out this week sometime. This will boost his GCSE mark next year in his science's Chemistry, Physic's & Biology.

Yesterday...

Yesterday we moved Kia into the stables as he looked a bit lame to me. Its cause he can see the girls, and he's been giving it large, you know look at me ain't I handsome. When Tanya was up she said he looks like a tranny, with all that hair like he's wearing a wig. Bless him. With a bit of rest he will be fine. Took Cravat out to the paddock so that he could have a run around, it was lovely just to watch him letting of some steam, jumping about & having a good run around the field and rolling in all the dust... I really wish I'd had my camera with me, cause all the girls lined up along the fence to watch & I could imagine them having a good old chat amongst themselves about him. You know "Cor, look at him, he's a bit of all right".
Ben & Harry, got all there bits ready for school, you know the drill, uniform out , pencils, pens, pencil case, bag packed. I said to Harry I hope everything goes ok for you tomorrow, but if you get any problems with anyone, just introduce them to Ben.. He said" Yea I know Mum, if they see Ben that will scare the S**T out of them".
It seems unbelievable to me that Ben is nearly sixteen and Harry nearly 12! Time goes so quickly.....

Dentist.....!

Well we all went to the Dentist today and every one's teeth are fine. Dentist said to watch for Harry's new tooth coming through, as there may not be enough room between his teeth, only a little gap. It might push out ok might not. Harry used to have a huge gap between his front teeth but since the new ones have been coming the gap has nearly closed...

Called into Tesco extra on the way back to get some bits for dinner all the lads wanted a curry. Also needed to get Harry a new pencil case & pens for school.

Put two more of my miniature boards on Ebay this evening. I've sold the ones that went on last week. Very pleased with the response I'm getting.

I've just read Ben's Girlfriend Katie's blog and it chocked me up. One of her friends at school died last night from Cancer aged 16. Its so sad that someone so young, with so much to look forward to has had their life cut short by this dreadful disease. Our family knows only to well what its like to lose someone to cancer. Let's hope that they eventually find a cure.

Ebay & Home Visit

Went up the top field this morning to see the girl ponies and got mobbed, they all wanted a cuddle & stroke. Katie's the worst she thinks she's a dog. Kai is now in the home paddock prancing up and down calling to the girls. Then went down to see the boys their in the bottom field. Little Warrior is such a sweetie he always raises his nose for me to give him a kiss. Then spent some time with Cravat, who's in the stables.

Spoke to one of my friends Christine who I've known since we were babies and caught up with all her news. Hi Chris if your reading this...

Got some more bits out of the garage today and then spent ages listing some new items on Ebay. I done a Sushi Board but won't be making anymore. While I was doing the listings, Sylvia from Many Tears rang and asked if I could do a home visit for a Lurcher puppy called Avon, just outside Newcastle Emlyn. I have a link on this blog for Many Tears, have a look if you get five minutes, they do an amazing job. Not long got back from there and rang Sylvia to say everything ok.

Harry's still over his friend Paul's house and isn't due back until 9pm.

Ben had a lay in this morning and didn't get out of his pit until Noon. He's now laying on the sofa watching TV. We did have a giggle at X-factor last night. I just love watching the auditions, think at times their better then the show itself, when it gets going. I wonder what happened to the girl that won it last year? Haven't heard anything about her.

Well I'm going to finish doing my listings on Ebay for the day and go & have a nice shower. Got the Dentist tomorrow...

Making Miniature Canes

Meant to say earlier that I've been making some more miniature canes as I'm nearly out. Found some partly done in one of my boxes and have tried to warm them to work them again managed with a couple but one kept splitting as I was trying to make some oranges. So I'm going to get it as small as I can, bake it and then slice it.

Been sorting out the boxes I brought in from the garage earlier and found loads of miniatures that I forgot I had, been sorting what to keep and what to sell. Loads of stuff to go as it doesn't look like I'll be doing any fairs up here. Still at least there's Ebay...

Off now to watch the X Factor with Mick & Ben, I just love the auditions, don't they make you cringe!!!!!!

Garage Full Of Tiny Treasures

Yesterday afternoon, we all went over to The Boot Sale Queen's as it was little Brandon's 2nd birthday. We had a really lovely afternoon & some scrummy chocolate Birthday cake.. Tyler made everybody laugh when Tash's mum Jackie came back from the Hairdresser's, she'd had her hair coloured and Tyler said is that you Nanny! Little Brandon is quite taken with Ben and wants Ben to Hug him all the time. Its so cute to watch as Ben is approx 6ft 3ins and Brandon's only tiny. Ben's like a Giant to him. Brandon didn't want Ben to leave and clung on to him as we were leaving. Sorry Katie, you've got competition for his affection!

Last night spent sometime on Ben's PC having a look at some horse sites etc, and catching up with some emails.

This morning Ben has gone off to Carmarthen with his mates & Harry has gone to stay at his friend Paul's house for the night.

Decided I really needed to start sorting out all my miniatures that are stored in the Garage, got so much stock, but haven't a clue where anything is in there. That's without whats stored in the Barn. Plus I already know that the Mice have been in some of the boxes, and we had 3 swallow nests in there so you can image the crap! Most of the boxes on the floor are covered over but it still disgusting in there. Thankfully the Dolls House's are still wrapped in bubble wrap, just hoping nothings been in them. Want to find some bits & pieces to use, with the stuff I'm currently making. As you can see from the pictures I've got a mammoth job ahead, its like the proverbial needle in a haystack. Every available bit of space is crammed, even the units that the dolls houses are standing on are jam packed with miniatures...

Brought 3 boxes indoors to start off with and managed to find some very dainty little cups that I want to use and my liquid Fimo... Also found a snail and about a million spiders.. Opened up one drawer in a unit and a spider must have laid her eggs in there and opening the drawer disturbed all these tiny spiders, they were running everywhere. Good job they don't worry me...

So at the moment the boys sitting room floor is covered with miniatures, while I have a good sort out. Will list some items on Ebay, got some fantastic quality bits and pieces from very talented British makers, including some Bone China made by Robert & Joyce Mack. Robert used to work for Royal Doulton and his stuff is amazing, beautiful miniature Bone China.. Also got loads of China from a Women's Touch, another English maker.

Well I'm off now to get sorting again... Will try & update later.
