Lots More Miniatures....

Another few boxes went into the van for sorting today. See how the boxes are packed, boxes within boxes. It's a voyage of discovery. Lots of the boxes were filled with Stock, but I found a few gems that I've been looking for.
Four of the Ikea drawer boxes are filled with Fimo and are extremely heavy. I've managed to get a few of them in one of the cupboards, so I'm not tripping over them. I also found quite a few Ikea boxes with the Glass fronts, in the small and large size. I've put them under the sink!
I also found the little Kiosk I made when I attended the Dolls House Club in Kent. I was in the process of turning this into a Mystic's Kiosk!.
In another box, I found another bit of the collection that my Dad brought me. A Florist shop, its got a bit bashed about but nothing that can't be fixed.
The next photograph under the Florist shop, shows a set of Mystical Creatures that I brought from the Early Learning Centre, when the first Harry Potter film come out. They are not to scale, but I want them for reference purposes.
The last photograph shows some of the first Miniatures I ever made, Teddies and a Rag Doll.

Three Little Gardens...

Thought I'd show you these three little Gardens, that I unearthed in one of the boxes from the garage.
My Dad found these while he was out one day and brought them home for me. I think they were being thrown away, so Dad rescued them.
I have no idea who made them, and I do wonder what their story is. They all need some work doing on them. But will come in handy as background pieces to show of my work. I think my favourite one is Los Rosas.

Coggeshall Cottage..

Let me introduce you to Coggeshall Cottage.
My Parents were staying over at their friends some years ago and my Dad took them all to visit his Aunt who lived in Coggeshall. Whilst they were there, they got talking about Doll Houses and my Dad's Aunt took them to see a Man who had made this Cottage. It was made to resemble the cottages that are in Coggeshall. Now he had made it to go in the Dolls House Shop, that used to be in Coggeshall, but because he had used real glass in the windows, they couldn't sell it for safety reasons. So my Mum and Dad brought it, and gave it to me when they came home. Unfortunately, the weight on the front two doors, was pulling on the frame, so we've taken them off, until we can fix the problem. I think we may have to mount it on its own base to support them. But that could have an advantage, that I could then have a very pretty country garden around it.

The Tote..

This is what I was sorting out yesterday. My Scrapbook Tote, I used to take this to the Scrapbook club and retreats.
Its amazing how much stuff you can actually get in there.
Be back later after I've had today's sort out.

Scrapbooks For Kate.

Yesterday after I showed everyone some of my Scrapbook Stash. Kate left a comment asking what is Scrapbooking.
The official explanation from Wickapedia is:-

Scrapbooking is a method for preserving personal and family history in the form of photographs, printed media, and memorabilia contained in decorated albums, or scrapbooks.

But I thought it would be easier to show everyone some pictures from my own 12" x 12" albums. If you click on the pictures they will pop up bigger.

Two of these layouts were published in a Scrapbooking magazine. The 3rd Layout down of Ben and Harry in Sepia and the one of the boys dressed in Camouflage.

I've taken some more pictures of other layouts and I'll share them with you later.
