Bear Cabin Miniatures Artisan Dollshouse Shop ~ Swansea

My friends Julia & Hywel, have a lovely Dolls House Shop in Swansea, called Bear Cabin Miniatures Artisan Dolls House Shop. They are members of Artisans In Miniature (A.I.M) and Julia plays quite an active part, in keeping the A.I.M blog updated with all the news from fellow artisans and also writing their own blog.
Bearcabin Miniatures, also have a Facebook Page.
I visited the shop recently and was made very welcome by Hywel, who was busy making a display for the shop.
Hywel, makes some beautiful hand carved Furniture, which is available to purchase in the shop. Julia also dresses the Furniture and makes other miniatures to complement Hywels work.
The Shop also stocks Artisan made pieces by  Fridays Child, Kat Hazelton, Julie Campbell I.G.M.A Doll Artist, Jain Squires, Jeff Mewies and McQueenie Miniatures, to name a few.
Hywel, has also recently set up a Dolls House Club, for like minded miniature enthusiasts.
Julia and Hywel, were also featured in a BBC One programme called Swansea Market.
So if you are in the Swansea area or even visiting, pop into see Hywel in the shop in Swansea Market, you will be sure of a very warm Welsh welcome..

Passing Out Parade ~ A.F.C Harrogate 15th August 2013

Do you remember last year on 27th July 2012. Harry took his Oath for Queen & Country.  Then after six weeks, I shared with you all, his Passing In Parade .
Well on the 15th August, this year we travelled back to Harrogate to watch Harry and all the other young Soldiers, in their Passing Out Parade. It was Europe's largest Military Graduation Parade and was reported on the news.
It was a fantastic day, we were so proud of each and every one of those Young Men & Women, on the Parade Ground. We know what an arduous training regime, they have all been through. Its been a Roller coaster ride for them as well as us Parents, there have been some highs and some lows, but we've all managed to get through it together and have made some life long friends along the way.
We wish them all Good Luck & all the best, as they go off to their respective Regiments, for their Phase 2 training and for the rest of their Army Careers.
Let the next Roller Coaster ride begin...

Miniature Laser Cut Kits..

Early in June this year, I purchased some Miniature Laser Cut Kits, from a Seller on Ebay.
I wanted a couple of 1:144th House Kits. Well I got a bit carried away when I saw all the lovely kits, some of which were in a very tiny scale and bid on and won a few. I also purchased two Noah's Ark Kits, one for me and one for Nikki for her Birthday. I can show it now, as Nikki has had her kit, painted it and put it all together, it looks fabulous. I haven't attempted mine yet, your see why when you see all the teeny tiny pieces. Definitely, don't make these kits if you have a cold, one sneeze and bits would fly everywhere..
I really enjoyed spending a couple of afternoon's in the Cabin, putting the House kits together, some of which also had furniture with them. I did have one disaster, a little leg on one of the tables, pinged off the tweezers, never to be seen again.
