While we were in Carmarthen, last week. I popped into TKMaxx, to have a look round. They had a few Halloween bits in, on a table there were two small Halloween Houses. I walked over and picked one up, and as I did I spied this larger one tucked under the table, with some other Halloween bits and pieces.
I debated whether to get this, or a large set of stacked Pumpkins, that also took tea lights. But as you can see, the House won out. I've had one hell of a job photographing it. If you click on the photographs, they will pop up bigger.
It takes five tea lights, not that I've tried that out yet. I showed this to my friends over on Facebook and was asked how big it was, so here's the measurement's in case anyone else is interested.
The base it stands on, measures width 14.5ins and depth is 10.5ins. The House itself measures Depth 9ins, width 12ins and the height to the top of the scalloped roof is 15ins.
I think it would look lovely decorated with Pumpkins around the House and there is plenty of room to hang things from the branches on the trees. Maybe even a little bench outside would look good, or even some Crows on the Roof...
Looks like loads of fun to decorate!!!

Das Haus sieht ja wirklich toll aus Debbie.... und ich kann mir schon gut vorstellen, das es... fertig... ein kleines Highlight wird. Freue mich schon auf die nächsten Bilder.

It looks great, Debbie, plenty of scope for decorating. I've always wanted to try a haunted/witchy-type house and marvel at the wonderful miniatures you all make for such scenes. Must pop into local TKMaxx on way home today for a rummage. Thanks for sharing that!
ReplyDeleteLove it Debbie, can't wait to see it decorated!

It is a pleasure to return to enter in your blog.
ReplyDeleteAfter a period of time, away from the minis, again with renewed hopes.
A greeting, Carmen kisses
WOW! I wish we had a TKMAX! I am doing a Nightmare before CHrismtas project, have pulled an old house out of the loft to do it but keep looking at it and its not quite right but this would be the perfect house for him!! I know youll make it wonderful and Halloweeny Debbie, lucky you! Kate xxx
ReplyDeleteThey must have different stock in various stores as I've not seen this one in my local one! I do like TK Maxx at Halloween though :D. It's just a shame we don't 'celebrate' Halloween on the scale that the Americans do.
ReplyDeleteI'd most definitely go for mean and moody! I love the crows idea!
ReplyDeleteTK Maxx is a wonderful shop, I have a number of really different things from there myself.
