Good News

Hi its Ben. just to let everyone no that mum came out of hospital yesterday afternoon she still cannot access the computer herself and will not be able to for a while yet. Nikki rang mum last night and said she would let everyone know about mum on her blog http://nikkinikkinikki72.blogspot.com/
Mums consultant said she was a Star patient because she was getting on so well and considering she only had her surgery Thursday and he let her out yesterday as long as she promised to take things easy. Dad has already told her of today for trying to wash the bathroom sink lol.

I don't know if mum has already told you that i got a A in Photography this year but she has asked me to remind you lol. As I am doing it again this year i have decided to do it on the human condition and she has alowed me to take a couple of photos of her scars to be lol, not for the squimish :)

Mum would also like to thank you all for your lovely comments and good wishes. Mum has also said to say thankyou Marja for her lovely card all the way from Holland and to everyone else who has sent her cards and good wishes.

  2. So glad to see you are home Debbie!! I am sure those scars will be a distant memory in no time (except for being the center of Bens next photography project!). Get better quickly!! -ara

  3. Welcome home, Debbie!! You take it EASY!!! Do not do anything, let your three men take care of you! Let the dirty sink be . . . otherwise you may end up back in the hospital.

Your surgery was a MAJOR one and I am so happy that you are home and in recovery.

    Big HUG,
    Marsha

  4. Great news on your Mum! I am not squimish, and it looks like she is healing nicely. Be sure she does what the Dr. ordered - she will heal so much faster.
Congratulations on the A - keep up the good work.

  5. Thank you Ben and congratulations on your A and its good to hear you are continuing your studies.
Debbie I know how hard it can be to have to sit and be still.( I only had to endure two weeks of no activity when I broke my leg ten years ago and it drove me nuts). You wont have to wait long till you have healed enough to SLOWLY get back to being a busy bee. Please listen to the lads and let them look after you as you have looked after them all these years.
Looking forward to seeing you get back to blogging.
    Much love Debie xxxxxxxx

  7. Debbie so happy you are home. I think home is the best place to heal but don't let yourself fret about getting things done. focus on you and your healing. Big gentle hugs my friend. I hope you feel better and better each day.
Good luck Ben with you next photography project. You will do great!
    Love,

  8. I always think i'm not squimish, but... ouch! And even more ouches!
That's going to be some scar to boast about.
Debbie, don't clean the sink. It isn't dirty i'm sure, and it's more important you get better.
Sinks have to be clean because they do all the cleaning, lol. Look at it that way.
Take it easy and order everyone around. It's your time to get better and everyones elses worry to keep house.
It's wonderful to know you are home, safe and sound and on the mend.

I'm just catching up on blog reading after being on holiday! Blimey! I missed alot! I can't believe you have been so poorly. I hope you are on the road to recovery now. I know you got alot of help to get you well again ;0)

    Get Well Soon.

  10. For Pete's sake, Debbie! Do NOT try to clean anything else. If you end up back in the hospital you will be bored to tears. Behave and rest, woman! To paraphrase my mother, "don't make me fly over there." ;-)

  11. Hi Debbie,
I'm so pleased you're home & taking it easy. My Dad had the same operation about 8 years ago & once he had rested & done as the doctors had said, he had a new lease of life. There's no stopping him now, LOL. I hope you have a speedy recovery & go steady from now on.
    Take care,

  12. Debbie it's so good to see you're home and in (almost) perfect shape, those scares are rather perfect for Halloween, but you're a bit too early ;)

I'm very happy to know that you're home (already!! a "star patient" is an understatement!)
Don't overdo anything, and don't wake up in the middle of the night to make miniatures!! I'm pretty sure you're suppose to sleep a lot, watch dumb TV series and command everyone :)

    Oh!
And bravo Ben for your A :D

    Mini Hugs!

  14. So glad to see you are on the mend Debbie. I am sure the healing will go fast. But think of the huge advantage of those scars in just a few more weeks. Your Halloween costume will be so easy, a fright wig and some penciled in black stitches across the scars and you can be the "Bride of Frankenstein". I know you will laugh at a little dark humor meant in fun as Halloween is your favorite, just try not to bust a stitch.

  15. So glad to hear you are home! The scars look nasty, but soon they will fade away and you will be back to normal. Don't overdo, let everyone take care of you.

  16. Ouch Debbie, those scars look scary. I'm so glad you are back at home, as everyone else has already said don't worry about the sink being dirty - the men in your life can deal with that! Looking forward to you being able to post on your blog again, and doing your miniatures, but healing is the most important (but boring) thing of all first. Congratulations Ben on the A. Best wishes

  22. I am so glad you are home and the operation was a success. Now comes the hard part. Recuperation. It is imperative that you listen to the doctor and don't do anything. This will be hard for you I know but your men will help you and will also try to keep you from doing things. When my husband came home he started with little baby steps - now he walks all over town. So be patient and take it slow. Love ya Deb.

  31. Good morning Debbie!
I was just thinking that it's okay if you want to clean the bathroom sink! I know that heart patients have been through so much and it's a life altering experience. Sometimes you'll need to connect with REAL things to feel at home once again.
If you want to do dishes, or clean sinks go right ahead as long as you don't overdo it!
We're all just happy you are home and can't wait to hear all about your experience.
    Blessings, Kathi

  33. So glad that you are home to recover Debbie. It is much easier and more comfortable at home than in the hospital. Remember to do what the doctor's say- if you rush it you are not giving your body a fair chance to heal. A big hug to you! I am so glad to hear good news- thank you again Ben :)

  34. You being home so fast couldn't be better news. Wow, Ben wasn't kidding when he said not to worry about you.

Now, I'm going to have to slap your fingers for the cleaning bit...what were you thinking!? There will be plenty of time for that later, now is the time to rest and be waited on :)

    BIG HUGS
