Scrapbooks For Kate.

Yesterday after I showed everyone some of my Scrapbook Stash. Kate left a comment asking what is Scrapbooking.
The official explanation from Wickapedia is:-

Scrapbooking is a method for preserving personal and family history in the form of photographs, printed media, and memorabilia contained in decorated albums, or scrapbooks.

But I thought it would be easier to show everyone some pictures from my own 12" x 12" albums. If you click on the pictures they will pop up bigger.

Two of these layouts were published in a Scrapbooking magazine. The 3rd Layout down of Ben and Harry in Sepia and the one of the boys dressed in Camouflage.

I've taken some more pictures of other layouts and I'll share them with you later.

  2. Oh thankyou Debbie, so much for showing me what its all about! I havd a lovely email earlier too from Susan ( Tabitha) telling me about it and now this with pics, its wonderful! Id love to be able to do something, with 5 children and stacks of photos it would be something precious for them to treasure when they are older so maybe in a few years time I could have a go when the miniature projects are more complete, if ever! Saying that its Emilys 18th birthday this August and although we have already bought her main pressie, it would be lovely to make something special like this for her. I guess I just look up scrapbook papers etc on ebay for materials? Will have to look into it further for suitable book, bits and pieces to go in it but its a smashing idea thanks for all the info, your a star! Love Kate xxx

  4. Scrap booking is fabulous, and yours are truly!!! I have lots of the sheets etc., I just don't have time to do it! My Sister lived in the USA for a few years and she started it then, she has some lovely ones of her 3 children and one's of Christmas etc. They are a great way of showing a special occasion too!

  6. This may be a duplicate comment - don't think the first one went thru. You really have a great stash of treasures. Kate asked about scrapbooking - she would love to visit a Hobby Lobby here, as there are isles of papers, stamps, stickers, albums, etc.. I don't acrapbook, but buy many of the supplies to use in other projects.
    Have a great weekend.

  9. Hi Debbie,

Thanks for the info on the glass egg. I appreciate it so much. BTW you are so organized. I think I would do scrapbooking more often if I knew where everything was.
    Have a great day.
