More Awards, Sabiha's Giveaway and Catch Up..
First off , I apologise for not posting anything since Monday.
real life has sort of taken over.
I has a phone call from my Cardiac Rehab Nurse Paul and he and the team had reviewed my Heart Scan and they confirmed there is nothing wrong with my Heart. Paul is wondering if I may be having an allergic reaction to one of the ingredients in one of the drugs I am taking? He could have something there. He has also managed to get me an appointment for tomorrow, with the Cardiologist. Just keeping our fingers crossed they can find out what's causing all the swelling. I've put a couple of pictures on here, just to show you how bad it is, if you look where I've pressed the skin, can you see where it leaves a deep indent. (Click On The Pic's to make them bigger). I have what is called Pitting Edema. Can you imagine that swelling all over my body, its certainly not a pretty site and so sore, even my boobs have blown up. It feels like when you have a baby, and you get your milk in! But with no relief. My Skin is so tight, I feel like I'm going to burst. I need a tap fitted or a Syphon attachment.. LOL
Also to let you all know that I've been adding lots of Mini Links over on Tiny Treasures Mini Links Page, I've found lots of new blogs and miniature sites on my journey in the blogosphere.
I've been awarded the Kreativ Blogger Award from:-
Genevieve over at Genevieves Miniacollection
Julia & Hywel over at Bearcabin Miniatures.
Wendie over at Wendies Mini World.
and Doll Mum over at Doll Mum's Blog.
Thank you all for the award and I will pass it on later. xx
I also received the Sunshine award from Lisa over at Lisa Johnson-Richards blog. Thank you Lisa
Last but not least, just to let every one know that the lovely Sabiha is having a give away on her blog Sabs Mini Interiors. Please pop over and enter if you haven't already. Sabiha has a beautiful blog.
I am still keeping you in my prayers and hope you will soon feel better!

ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for you that they sort it out soon, it does look sore. Hope you feel better soon, Julia xxx
ReplyDeleteEgadds, Debbie. That has to be so UNCOMFORTABLE and frustrating.
ReplyDeleteI think an allergic reaction is probably right on . . . now to figure out which medication or what ingredient!!
I hope it's sorted how soon.
Love and hugs,
Marsha
Oh, I have a mini project that I've put on hold for quite some time. I'm hoping to get to it soon, then finish up some doll orders, and THEN start on my antique shop . . . and of course all my other crafting in between, LOL
Debbie, I am so glad you are posting this update. I have been thinking of you. In a way, I am relieved to hear that it may be an allergic reaction. At least, now you can narrow down the problem. I empathise with your plight and can just imagine how uncomfortable you must feel. I mean , I suffer a fraction of what you are going through once a month and that alone is already such a pain!
ReplyDeleteDo keep us posted.
Big hugs!!! Edema is so difficult, makes everything ache. I hope they find a solution soon!!!
ReplyDeleteYou poor thing.
ReplyDeleteMy ex mother-in-law had a triple heart bypass and had something very similar in few months following her op. Hers was related to high blood pressure and the oedema was brought under control with a combination of diuretic meds. It's really miserable though and I do empathise. Keep asking 'them' lots of questions and don't let 'them' fob you off.
Hope you feel better soon

That really looks painful - I know how swelling feel due my thyroid problem, but thankfully haven't had it never any where near like you have.
ReplyDeleteHope that you get well soon and they figure out what is causing it.
Ira

I so hope that someone soon figures out what is going on in your body so that you can feel better. I'm keeping you in my thoughts.
ReplyDeleteHeaps of Hugs,
Cheryl
You know...this has gone on long enough. I would stamp my little fat feet and refuse to leave until they came up with a suitable explanation and treatment.
ReplyDeleteSince they've ruled out the heart as the culprit and it came on so suddenly (I recall the night you said you were peeling potatoes and you started to blow-up), a reaction to one of your medications could certainly be the problem. (Leave it to the nurses to think of something while the docs just shake their heads)
So now they must decide which pill has that possible nasty side effect and get you off it post haste. It shouldn't be that difficult or take that long. In the mean time, you're not able to work on your rehab which will just make you feel punky longer.
Enough already! I'll be thinking about you tomorrow.
Hi Debbie, good luck with working out which medication is causing this reaction - how utterly frustrating, especially as you have been through so much already. I hope the swelling reduces very soon.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes

So happy to hear that your heart is okay! I sure hope you don't split a seam somewhere! Are you taking Lasix and running to the bathroom every 15 minutes? I've never seen an allergic reaction do this, but I sure hope that's all it is. I guess your labs are okay too? Tell those doctors to get this figured out NOW! Enough is enough!!!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe if you sleep hanging upside down your feet will get better? It's worth a try, don't you think?
:D
I don't mean to make light of this,I know you are miserable. I just want to send you a smile....
I really do hope you feel better VERY soon! I will continue my prayers for you.

You do not need to apologize for not posting! Your health is what is important. Sure hope they can find the cause soon and a cure for it so you can get some relief. I am so glad to hear it is not your heart. Are you on diuretics to get rid of the excess fluid? I am salt sensitive & if I eat something with even a little to much salt I swell up - especially in my legs/ankles. Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteHello Debbie, is already a relief to know that this situation does not depend on your heart ... I hope it is the fault of the overall drug so if changes you can feel better .. could be water retention and perhaps with a proper diet can deflate? or perhaps the thyroid? Make all necessary tests and Keep us informed, I am worried but I hope you get well soon! I embrace you!!
ReplyDeleteCaterina
Oh dear Debbie...I blew up the one of your finger mark and you do have it bad.
ReplyDeleteI know BP can cause it but they will be checking that. And you are on a diuretic already no ?
At least it isn't your heart...small comfort when you are so uncomfortable but that is a good thing.
I also would guess at an allergy simply because of how quickly it came on.
Hopefully they'll start switching out your meds to see which might be causing it.
Take care xxx
Our poor Debbie! I hope they can figure out what is causing this. Bless your heart! At least it is not something severe and urgent with your heart but I hope they get it figured out soon!
ReplyDeleteJody
Ouch. That really does look uncomfortable. Hope they can find a solution soon for you. Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteCia
sheesh Debbie....it even looks painful! Hope they find that it really is an allergic reaction...& soon
ReplyDeleteI am so hopeful that you will feel better soon, I`ll be thinking of you today.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,

Your health condition must be very frustrating. You are right it might be an allergy, Do you eat very salty food ? It may come from that, just an idea ...
ReplyDeleteHope you will feel better soon.
Geneviève
Oh you poor thing must be very uncomfortable
ReplyDeleteI do hope they find out soon what it is! your in my prayers, Debbie!
Sending good thoughts and vibes your way today Debbie... In the back of my mind for some time I have thought it may be an allergic reaction or drug allergy...to keep going this long...would explain so much... Thank Goodness all is well with your heart... and nothing (no infection) in the blood...so has to be an 'external' thing i.e. meds... to effect the entire body...
ReplyDeletePLEASE let us all know what you find out....
Sending my Love and Healing Thoughts
Jodi
My God Mother suffers from chronic oedema. It looks so uncomfortable and painful. :o( I do hope they sort your pills out and find out what's causing what. :o) I hope the hospital appointment went okay today.
