I hope everyone had a lovely Mother's Day yesterday. I did..
I spent the whole day sorting out my four Blue boxes. Where they'd been stored in the garage they were filthy.
I had everything out of every drawer. Scrubbed them and I mean scrubbed and disinfected them.
I then had the task of sorting everything into it's rightful spot and re-bagging everything that wasn't in a bag.
The first two boxes contained some of the stuff I used to take to the Fairs and a lot of the Food Stuff that I used to make for a Wholesaler, Importer/Exporter. You can see all my code numbers on the bags. I made approximately 30 different lines.
I also work in 1/24Th Scale as you can see by the pictures of the plates of food on the end of my index finger. Cornish Pasties and Sausage Rolls, can you imagine making 144 plates of each, which had to be exactly the same. Mind numbing LOL.. What do you think of the Cherry Pie, can you imagine rolling all those Cherries. If you click on the pictures, they will pop up bigger.
The next two boxes contain all the wonderful Glass that Ed has blown me. As I've been having this sort out, I did find a couple of boxes of Glass that had been mislaid in the move. So its all been put together in the drawers now.
I've still got loads of stuff to sort in the Garage, while I was in there yesterday, I came across an Ikea wooden box, that is filled to the brim with the Original Fimo, so won't have to buy any Clay for a while.
On the more personnel front, we have a meeting at the Boy's School this evening. Its time for Harry to pick the subjects he wants to study for his GCSE's. They have to take English, Welsh, Math and Science. He now has to decide on the other four!
Tomorrow I'm having my CT Scan, so hopefully they will be able to find out what's causing all this water retention and swelling.
WOW Debbie, I had no idea you used to make all this fantastic stuff! as I'd never seen much of it before, maximum respect, I dont have the patience for rolling cherries!! are you gonna do another fair now you've found it all? as for Ed's glass, Im sure I could find a home for it all here....hint hint LMAO
ReplyDeletehope the scan finds a reason for your swelling, do you have an appt booked already for the result? (hugs) xx
Will you look at all that stuff!! What a cache! I must go back to your earliest blog entries for your mini history...it looks like production went on hold when you moved to the farm? I could hardly have the patience to make a dozen of anything exactly alike, nevermind 12 dozen.
ReplyDeleteAnd I, too, am hoping you get definitive answers from the CT scan.
btw...congrats to Ben and good luck helping Harry decide on his electives for next year.

Good luck with your scan tomorrow. I hope you finally get some answers. I just can't believe all the things you have. I know yu said you hve a lot but I never imagined it was that much. You have more than a lot of miniatures stores have. You certainly are gifted as the things you make are wonderful and then to have treasures from your mother as well. Did it seem like Christmas as you unwrapped all these items.
ReplyDeleteDebbie that stuff is fantastic...
ReplyDeleteyou are so talented ;-)
I hope that your scan will provide
hugs Marja
Debbie, I don't think I am kidding if I tell you you own more miniatures in those boxes than we probably have in the whole of Singapore! You can come set up shop here with a few branches! You will be a hit!
ReplyDeleteI was talking to a doc friend of mine here very briefly about how bad your water retention is and before I could say "Christopher Columbus" he said "heart failure". He tried to explain to me that it does not mean a complete failure, just that it is not working as it should. Anyhow, the scan will hopefully shed some light!
