Yesterday, after posting the last lot of photograph's of Kat's Hats. I had quite a few comments about the Camera I use. To take the photo's of Kat's hats yesterday, I just stood everything on my white ceramic tile and wedged white card up the sides and the back, then clicked away.
My Camera is a FujiFilm, FinePix S9500. I brought it about 4 years ago. It has a double macro button on it that enables me to take very sharp close up photographs. Which I needed to show the detail on the Miniatures I make. Fuji have an updated version of this camera now called the FinePix S100FS.
Both my boys have a compact Samsung S1065, which has anti shake and also does take good close ups. If you click on the Camera names, it will take you over to all the info about each camera.
I took these photographs last year of the Passion Flower that grows in the Garden. If you click on the photo's, they will pop up bigger and you will be able to see fully the detail that the camera picks up.
Hope all this info has been helpful, but would love to know what Camera's everyone else uses.
Thanks so much for all the infos about your camera.I was also on the way to ask you ! LOL
ReplyDeleteI wish my camera would go back to behaving itself. I too could a little while back take equally good pics but now looks like i need a new one. I think i'll get what i have already but upgrade it a little.
ReplyDeleteThe one i have at the moment is a lumix Panasonic DMC-FZ8.
Perhaps if i take it to a camera shop they may be able to clean it properly or something to get it back to what it was before.
I really did love it and its not like one of the silly fiddly tiny digital cameras, but something nice to hold and feels like a traditional camera.
Never, ever let your child take your camera out in the snow... lol.
Thats my best camera advice.
Beautiful Shots Debbie..looks to be a pretty good little camera...with minis those macros really come in handy.
ReplyDeleteMy question is... how is it that when you post pictures to your blog....both when clicked on come up large? Only my first one that I post does...the rest stay the sme size? Is it where you place them? Or size? I am so confused...I thought since yours always work you might know...
Beautiful Photo...beautiful Flower

Hi Silke, went and had a look at your son's blog this morning amazing artwork.
ReplyDeleteNikki put a new camera on your wish list. Mine is like a traditional camera and it's got some weight in it.
Jodi, I've found that if I load all the photo's first then write the blog all my photo's come up big. Have no idea why!
Hmmmmm that's strange...I normally load up the pics first and then write.... I will move the pictures sometimes...wonder if that has anything to do with it? I looked alllll over the blog 'Help' site and can't find a think about this problem... preparing to rip out strands of hair soon...grrrrrr
ReplyDeleteIf you hear anything...let me know...
Thanks for your help
Jodi
I have a Nikon Coolpix Supposed to be great with closeups but I'm still have trouble with some things. I need to practice more.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are "resized" when you put them on your blog page but that is not the "original" size of the photo. The original size of the photo is what you see when you click on it. If it doesn't get larger than you have resized it in whatever program you use, photoshop etc . . . I generally leave them at 360 dpi but when uploading them to my blog I sometimes reduce the size to 72 dpi which will make the image smaller.
I am not a photographer but I just wanted a simple camera to take pictures of my minis. We bought a FujiFilm Fine pix A510 and I have been so pleased with it. I have never taken such nice pictures before.
ReplyDeleteThis is all getting to complicated now.
ReplyDeleteI hate to hear anything about dpi... lol.
I run for cover at even the slightest mention.
Nikki
Hi Sassy...
ReplyDeleteI know it does not 'resize' when I post them...my only question is why do I put on say 3 pictures and only the first picture viewers can right click and the picture goes to my original size of what I uploaded...but the other 2 stay small and do not allow for right clicking?? Strange...
Maybe I will put a 'plea' out onto my blog for answers...I know someone out there probably has had this same problem and have a cure for it...thanks Sassy.
