Diagon Alley ~ Some New Pictures

I was playing around with my Camera the other day and I took some updated pictures, of my Diagon Alley. I shared them on my Tiny Treasures Page on facebook, but forgot to share them on here.
I am still very, very slowly filling the shops and sorting out what's going where, but then I change my mind and move it all again. So until I'm completely happy, I haven't taken any updated pictures of the insides.

Kensington Dollshouse Festival ~ Part 5

 Here are the last pieces that I brought at Kensington Dollshouse Festival.

Rosebud Cottage, it is part of the range of  House kits & furniture from Bea & Tony at Petite Properties. Its another 1:48th Scale Kit, that's been added to the others, I already have and are on the must put together pile. It was lovely to see Bea, Tony & their Daughter, who were rushed off their feet. But we did manage a quick chat. I was blamed for encouraging Carlanne, to buy a couple of kits, to take home to America, let me tell you, she needed needed no encouragement.

I then brought some moulds and a couple of potted Tentacle plants, from Georgia Marfels. She had a wonderful selection of the weird and wonderful on her stall. She does have an Etsy shop. Her stuff looks lovely in the Flesh. I know Janice, has some of Georgia's little Mice and Michael brought some lovely stuff from there, for his ongoing projects.

I was a really good girl and didn't spend all my pennies at Kensington, instead I brought some little pieces that I needed from Hobbycraft, while I was in Kent with friends and I've been buying some bits and pieces on line. Some of which have already arrived and some I'm waiting for. Most take some pictures of the bits I've already received.

Kensington Dollshouse Festival ~ Part 4

While at Kensington, I brought this beautiful Laser Cut kits from Moe Miniatures. They are Laser cut from Cherry Wood and were very well priced. I know quite a few of the KDF crew, brought some of the kits.Nikki, brought some lovely Toys for her Mouse House.
I brought the Fort, Pegs, a pull along Dog Toy, a Store Display, Fretwork Shelf and a Fretwork Tray. I missed the Scrapbook, but Moe Miniatures, do have a web site and do mail order.  So will add that to my wish list.

Kensington Dollshouse Festival ~ Part 3

Some more of my purchases from Kensington, which I brought from Susan & Sandy Eismont. They do have a web site, where you can see all their wares and purchase them.
A lovely set of Wooden containers, the Lids are removable, a little Milking Stool, a set of Miniature Horseshoes & a Settle. Their prices are very reasonable and I'd definitely buy from them again. I've already got my eye on some other pieces on their web site.
I really like the containers, not sure if they will be going in Diagon Alley yet, or in another pending project. 

Kensington Dollshouse Festival ~ Part 2

Kensington, seems ages ago now, but I have finally got round to taking some decent photographs of the miniatures, I brought on the day. I had a list of things I wanted in my head, but this first purchase definitely wasn't one of them.

I'd like to introduce you to Mr Mole.

I saw him and fell totally in Love with this dear little Creature and he just had to come home with me. He sits next to a fallen Tree, that is covered in Ferns, Flowers & Lichen. Mr Mole is not stuck to the base and can be removed or placed in different positions.

Its a lovely stand alone piece, made by Sue Wilkes of Shoebutton Bears.

Sue had also made, some lovely little Badgers, I now wish, I had brought one of those as well. 

We have real Moles & Badgers where we live, although I'm not in Love with the real Moles, as they leave huge Mole Hills, all over the fields.

Kensington Dollshouse Festival 2013 ~ Part 1

For Christmas my Sons Ben & Harry, brought me weekend tickets, for the Kensington Dollshouse Festival, in Kensington, London.
I travelled down to London on the Friday and was eventually met at the Coach Station, after much hilarity by Nikki, Kat, Wendie, Joolz, Janice & Carlanne, they got  totally confuddled, as to where I actually was.  They'd all already been celebrating in the Hotel Bar. But what a fabulous surprise, to meet everyone at once. We then all travelled back to the Hotel, via the Shakepeare Pub for a swift one. Yes, there are lots of pictures of us all, but we have sworn a pact, not to put them on the web.
That evening the whole group of us, met up with Julie & Jain for a meal, before the Show on the Saturday.
On the Saturday morning our little KDF Crew, also met up with Michael, who accompanied our rowdy little group to the Show. Our first port of call was to see Julie & Jain. Their display was fabulous, but by the time we had gotten through the doors, lots of their Dolls had already sold. I've since heard, that their joint display won the KDF Cup. Congratulations to you both, well deserved.
I also managed to catch up with lots of Friends in person,  I haven't seen for age's who were exhibiting, including the lovely Doreen & Bob.
We also meet up with some more friends at the Show, Chrissey, Helen & Karen, who joined us on the Saturday evening for a lovely meal in the Hotel. Where we all wore Tiara's and for some reason I ended up, at the end of the evening with some strange man,  holding my hand & serenading me in the Restaurant. That did make us laugh. He thought we were all on a Hen Night..
I really enjoyed meeting everyone and had a fantastic time at the show, so much to see and some fabulous miniatures on show and for sale. Think we all could have done with winning the lottery, before we went.
